(Answer Key)

(All those objects and materials obtained from nature without any human intervention are called natural resources.)
(Coal)
(Meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs is called sustainable development.)
(Continuous movement of water through evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and collection is called the water cycle.)
(Oxygen)
(a) जैविक संपदा (Biotic Resources) – उदाहरण: वनस्पति, पशु (b) अजैविक संपदा (Abiotic Resources) – उदाहरण: जल, खनिज (a) Biotic resources – Example: Plants, animals (b) Abiotic resources – Example: Water, minerals
(Heavy rainfall)
(Soil conservation)
(Afforestation)
(Renewable resources can be regenerated over time, e.g., water, air.) (Non-renewable resources cannot be regenerated once exhausted, e.g., coal, petroleum.)
(Water is extremely important for life. It is essential for drinking, irrigation, industrial work, power generation, domestic use, etc.) संरक्षण के उपाय: - जल का विवेकपूर्ण उपयोग (Prudent use of water) - वर्षा जल संचयन (Rainwater harvesting) - जल स्रोतों का संरक्षण (Protection of water sources) - जल प्रदूषण की रोकथाम (Prevention of water pollution) - रिसाव को रोकना (Stopping leakage) - सिंचाई में आधुनिक विधियों का प्रयोग (Use of modern irrigation methods)
(Overexploitation of natural resources leads to environmental imbalance, pollution, soil erosion, water scarcity, loss of biodiversity, natural disasters, adverse impact on human health, crisis for future generations, etc.)
(Sustainable development means meeting present needs in such a way that future generations are not deprived of their needs. For this, prudent use of resources, recycling, use of alternative energy sources, environmental protection, plantation, water and soil conservation, public awareness, etc. should be adopted.)
(Natural resources are classified as biotic (plants, animals, fossil fuels) and abiotic (water, air, soil, minerals).) (Their importance is for economic development, as a basis of human life, ecological balance, biodiversity, culture, and traditions, etc.)
(The Government of India has taken various steps such as National Forest Policy, Forest Conservation Act 1980, national parks and sanctuaries, water conservation schemes, Clean India Mission, promotion of recycling and reuse, public awareness campaigns, etc.)
